Blurred is sometimes good

Last night I was listening to some of my music on an old DVD, well a newish DVD just very old music (the 60s). One of the nurses said she couldn’t understand how I could watch such poor quality video, blurred and out of sync.
How could I explain to a youngster like her that sometimes that’s exactly the way past images should be, it’s better to have them out of focus and black and grey, to sharpen then up would take away that special something. It’s the words behind the images that count, your own brain should be all that’s required to bring old blurred memories to life again.
Anyway for those that could be old enough, do you remember this – I was in a T class submarine in the Atlantic at the time (1968)

I think all the family are turning up today – I guess they think it’s the thing to do but really I am quite happy as I am, things to do and all that.
Plus, the trainee nurse that scampers around like a frightened rabbit has (you guessed it) RED hair. If i take my glasses off and pretent to be 40 years younger she could almost be ... but best not to go there

I have worked out how to enter the computer room when it appears locked, so that might be handy when things get dull of a night. Now, next job it to locate the biscuit (cookie) cabinet, I know it must be around this area somewhere as they are always turning up with tea/coffee and biscuits - might need another key or a stiff bit of cardboard/plastic. After cogarettes, any type of food is almost currency in a place like this.

I do indeed remember the T-Class subs the Brits were using. That was also one of the longest serving types of subs ever in service which shows you just how good they really were! I thought them to be a bit ugly the way the bow stuck up there but of course I never sailed on one or called it home so would probably have felt more affection for them if I had. Good to see you have not slowed down or allowed little things like locked doors to do any mnore than slow you down for just a moment. Should they decide to send me away to a home for a bit I am requesting that they send me to where you are at. We could really turn the place upside down. LOL Been busy my friend but passed along all the pert info you asked. BJ is having problems getting the e-mail to cooperate but either he will get it working or maybe Angela can help him out. Very quite elsewhere. Guess it is time for me to hit the rack too. Talk to you soon. Hey, do they search the parcels you get there? How about Di, would she grab it knowing it came from me? VBG

Thanks Jim and To you Harry, I feel so privilaged to be a part of the family. Thanks. I have sat and listened to my stepday talk about some of the tubs and tin cans he was on while in the US Navy in WWII. He served on many different subs and spent 27 yrs in the navy. I love the reads and you are so true when you say that "blurred is sometimes good". I have been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt. LOL..stay well Skipper and I think I got it figured out.
